Roast lamb and suckling pig bring many people to Sepúlveda, a historic town on the edge of the Hoces del Río Duratón natural park. Fernán González, Count of Castile, resettled it in 940, and its fuero, the charter confirmed in writing in 1076, was later granted to Zaragoza, Teruel and many other towns. Today the town houses the park's interpretation centre.
