How the texts are written
The village summaries and descriptions, and the short notes on local food and events, are drafted with the help of AI from the village's Wikipedia and Wikivoyage articles, then checked. Each page credits the articles it draws on.
Our adapted texts, the village descriptions and highlights and the notes on local food and events, including their translations, are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence, as their Wikipedia and Wikivoyage sources are. You may reuse them: credit Locus and the articles named with each text, say if you changed it, and share your version under the same licence. The texts are provided as is, without warranty of any kind.

Open data we publish
The road lines, driving times and distances, places to stay and thermal baths used by the maps and planner are derived from OpenStreetMap. We publish them as open data under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0: /route-lines/, /roads.json, /stays/, /thermal-points.json, /thermal-stops.json, the "stays" entries in /village-panel/. These files are the complete derived data. © OpenStreetMap contributors. Any rights in individual contents of the database are licensed under the Database Contents License.
The texts adapted from Wikipedia and Wikivoyage, with their translations, are available under CC BY-SA 4.0. The full terms for every file we publish are in data-licence.txt.
Who we are
We're Nodo Labs, a small dev agency. Alongside client work, we build free tools like Locus, a road-trip planner for Europe's most beautiful villages. If you find our projects useful, a tip helps us cover hosting and data costs and keep them free. Thanks for your support!
