Trevélez

Hams cure in the dry mountain air of Trevélez, a village at around 1,500 metres in the Alpujarra, below Mulhacén. It climbs in three quarters, Bajo, Medio and Alto, with almost 200 metres between them and a single bridge over the river at the bottom. Walkers set out from here for Mulhacén and Alcazaba, two of the highest mountains in Spain.
