Níjar
Member of Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España
Leave room in your bag for the ceramics and textiles Níjar is known for. The village, founded in the 13th century, spreads its white houses over the slopes of the Atalaya quarter, around the Mudéjar church of the Encarnación. Its huge municipality runs down to the sea and takes in most of the Cabo de Gata-Níjar natural park, with coves such as Mónsul and Los Genoveses.
