Where the Gronda and Sorba streams meet in upper Valsesia, Rassa is a small mountain village whose houses keep their traditional form. Its coat of arms recalls a legend of 1333, when a wolf carried off the child Pietro Fassola and left him unharmed by a spring in the Val Sorba.
