Pieve di Teco
Member of I Borghi più belli d'Italia
Founded in 1233 by the Marquis Antonio di Clavesana, who drew communities from across the Arroscia valley into a new town with its own castle and church, Pieve di Teco sits on a short stretch of flat valley floor where three narrow valleys open out. Under Genoa it was the seat of a captaincy guarding the frontier with Piedmont, and its walls and castle were rebuilt after invasion after invasion.
