Coral paid for the finest church on this hill above the Riviera: Cervo's fishermen, who worked the seas off Corsica and Sardinia, helped fund the baroque San Giovanni Battista, still known as the Chiesa dei Corallini. Its concave façade faces the sea above a stepped square, and every summer since 1964 the village has hosted an international chamber music festival.
