Crissay-sur-Manse
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
White limestone houses with mullioned windows lean against the hillside of the Manse valley in Crissay-sur-Manse, a village of barely a hundred people in the Touraine countryside. Several date from the 15th century, as does the castle, built late in that century, and the church of Saint-Maurice. Signposted walking trails and picnic spots lead out into the surrounding regional park.
