Camon
Member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France
Nicknamed "Little Carcassonne", Camon is a walled village on the Hers-Vif in the Pays d'Olmes, north-east Ariège. Its priory and ramparts are listed historic monuments, as is the Maison haute. Barely 150 people live here today, against more than six hundred in the early 19th century.
