Molinaseca
Member of Los Pueblos más Bonitos de España
Pilgrims on the Camino Francés reach Molinaseca at the end of a long descent through El Acebo, entering over the seven-arched Puente de los Peregrinos on the River Meruelo. The village grew up around that bridge, and its historic stretch runs from there to an old stone cross, lined with manor houses bearing coats of arms. The name recalls the medieval mills on the river.
