    Gorges, ferries and lakeside villas on Lake Como

      Arrive in Bellano and head straight behind the town to the Orrido, where wooden walkways lead you over the waterfall and into the gorge. Afterwards stroll the lakeside promenade, perhaps with the region's pizzoccheri for lunch, then on to Tremezzo.

      Tremezzo is best enjoyed on foot along the water. Spend your time in the gardens of Villa Carlotta, where works by Canova are on show, and if the weather is warm, slip into the lake from the steps of the public park. Then head back to Como.
